Return & Refund Policy

 

At Modern-Planters, we take pride in the craftsmanship of our fiberglass planters. If your purchase does not meet your expectations, we are here to help.

1. Return Window

You have 30 days from the date of delivery to initiate a return. To be eligible for a return, the planter must be:

  • Unused and in its original condition (not planted or filled with soil).
  • In its original packaging, including all protective foam and inserts.
  • Accompanied by a receipt or proof of purchase.

 

2. Damages & Issues (The 48-Hour Rule)

Fiberglass is durable but can be damaged during transit.

  • Inspect Immediately: Please inspect your order upon receipt.
  • Report Fast: If the planter arrives cracked or defective, you must notify us within 48 hours of delivery.
  • Documentation: Email us at contact@modern-planters.com with your order number and clear photos of the damage and the shipping box.
  • Resolution: We will provide a replacement or a full refund for items damaged during shipping at no cost to you.

 

3. Non-Returnable Items

The following items cannot be returned or exchanged:

  • Please note that custom-made fiberglass planters are non-returnable. Each piece is manufactured to your specific color, finish, size requirements, or custom-drilled drainage holes.
  • Clearance/Final Sale Items: Items marked as "Final Sale" at the time of purchase.

·        We highly recommend verifying all dimensions and color codes before finalizing your order.

 

4. Shipping Costs & Restocking Fees

For "change of mind" returns apply on Standard products (e.g., you don't like the color or the size doesn't fit your space):

  • Return Shipping: The customer is responsible for the cost of return shipping Freight. Because fiberglass planters are oversized/heavy, we recommend using a carrier with tracking and insurance.
  • Restocking Fee: A 25% restocking fee will be deducted from your refund to cover the labor of inspection, cleaning, and repackaging.
  • Original Shipping: Original shipping charges are non-refundable.

 

6. Return Shipping (LTL Only)

For eligible returns (e.g., non-custom stock items), the following rules apply:

  • LTL Return Requirement: Because of their size, these items cannot be returned via standard mail. They must be shipped back via LTL freight on a pallet.
  • Original Packaging: The customer is responsible for securing the planter to a pallet using original or equivalent protective packaging to prevent transit damage.

7. Pro-Tips for Your Policy

Note to Owner: Consider adding a "White Glove" option if you have the capability. This allows customers to pay extra for drivers to uncrate the planters and remove the debris, which is a common request for high-end residential or commercial projects.

 

8. How to Initiate a Return

1.      Contact our support team at contact@modern-planters.com with your order number.

2.      Once approved, we will provide you with a Return Authorization (RA) Number.

3.      Write the RA number clearly on the outside of the box.

4.      Ship the item back 

6. Refunds

Once we receive and inspect your return (typically within 5–7 business days), we will notify you of the approval or rejection of your refund. If approved, the refund will be processed back to your original payment method. Please note that banks may take an additional 3–5 days to post the credit to your account.
